ChRISTMAS EVE

Advent is a special 4-week season dedicated to preparing and opening our hearts. Advent, which means “coming” or “arrival,” is a special time when we prepare our hearts for the coming of our Savior, Jesus. We celebrate that in 3 ways.

The first coming: Jesus’ birth at Christmas, the arrival of our Savior. His presence now: the ways Jesus is breaking into our everyday lives right here and right now. The future coming when Jesus will return to bring a new heaven and a new earth, a place without death, tears, pain, or sorrow. During this time, we patiently wait to joyfully celebrate the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day and also eagerly look forward to his promised return in the future.
