Care Ministry
Care Ministry offers Trinity members an opportunity to provide spiritual care and Christian love to shut-ins, hospitalized members, and those with special needs. A Care Ministry Director oversees the five major areas of Care Ministry. Each of the five areas is directed by a Care Ministry Captain.
1) Member Care - matches a Care Giver with a Care Receiver. Care Givers visit a shut-in, institutionalized or senior member at least once a month and report back on any needs or other information that may be helpful for Trinity pastors and staff.
2) Prayer Chain - supports Trinity members and others with the power of prayer. Confidentiality is an important aspect of the Prayer Chain and only the first name of an individual is passed along to prayer chain members. For more information about the prayer chain or to place a person on the Prayer Chain, contact Pastor Zurek or call the Trinity Office - 564-8547.
3) News Watchers - carefully read the area newspapers and make note of special birthdays, anniversaries, and death announcements and send appropriate letters of congratulations or sympathies.
4) Transportation - provides needed rides for Trinity members to attend worship services and other church events, out of town medical appointments and other special needs.
5) Care In Action - provides Food Vouchers for needy families and individuals on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Care In Action also oversees an Angel Tree which supplies Trinity members with suggestions for Christmas gifts for children and needy families.
For additional information about Care Ministry, contact Pastor Zurek or call the Church Office - 564-8547.
